Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to complex research of the freedom of mass information. The work discusses legal nature, evolution of the freedom of mass information, existent restriction paradigms of the freedom of mass information. The author arrives at the conclusion that the freedom of mass information is the aggregate of rights enabling freely and without difficulty to seek, get, pass, produce and spread using mass media information, which reflects processes of social being objectively and is available to the general public. It also contains the analysis of the Ukrainian legislation and international acts relating to the freedom of mass information including a number of problems at issue. The thesis grounds some ways to improve legal regulation in this sphere and necessity of the concerted legislation on the freedom of mass information.
