Rodygyna V. Memoirs of Dokiya Gumenna: interpretation of the Ukrainian identity in literature and culture

Dissertation research is devoted to the problem of interpretation of national identity in the memoirs of Dokiya Gumenna, writer of the Ukrainian emigration of ХХ century. In dissertation the analysis of such factors of national identity as linguistic identity, folklore identity, validity on history of nation, the nationally-consolidating factor, predefined by the staying in emigration, equations of the one's mission with the future of nation, awareness's oneself as parts of nation is presented. Research of these factors in the memoirs of Dokiya Gumenna allows to select literary-centricity and national-centricity conceptions of authors" flashbacks. The genre features of Dokiya Gumenna's memoirs are set in the dissertation work. The analysis of time and space features of the memoirs linen organization is conducted. It is investigational evolution of memoirist's state looks.
