Essay

The aim of the work presumed the decrease in perinatal morbidity and mortality by the improved management of protracted latent stage of labor. We achieved the new data about the main risk factors in delayed latent stage of labor as well as the results on the biophysic profile evaluation and cardiac reactivity in intranatal fetal distress. In all the cases of protracted latent stage of labor we demonstrated the decrease in diastolic blood flow velocity and high resistance in uterine and spiral arteries. We estimated the role of haemodynamics in structural changes of the uterus. The USG estimation of maternal blood volume in marginal sinus was developed.
