The definitions of "business reputation of the enterprise", "goodwill", "corporate image", "brand", "trade mark" are defined. The etymology of these concepts is analyzed and on the base of the legal framework governing business reputation of the enterprise there were found their distinctive features. The definition of "enterprise business reputation" as an economic category, which is the intangible asset that can bring into the company additional income has been worked out and tested. The structure of goodwill, which is a reflection of valuable intangible assets such as business reputation of the enterprise and corporate image with the exception of image promotion costs, is improved.The rganizational-economic mechanism of enterprise business reputation, under which the system should be understood as the organizational and economic elements that are classified in the interconnected information, organization and methodical settlement blocks, has been designed. All the calculations within the mechanisms pursuant are made according to the proposed technique, which is a system of economic methods of indicators assessment. The mechanism provides for the organization of appraisal activity directly in the company, which will save money on paid services of consulting agencies.Based upon the proposed method of business reputation assessment of the enterprise organizational and economic mechanism for determining the value of the enterprise is improved.
