Chebotaryov Y. The optimization of ocular prosthesis in case of enucleation and evisceration of eye ball

Object - uveal melanoma, posttraumatic eye subatrophy. Purpose - optimization of ocular prosthesis by the differentiated approach at enucleation concerning an uveal melanoma and evisceration concerning a posttraumatic eye subatrophy taking into account changes in the immune system. Methods - determination of degree of mobility of prosthetic appliance, exophthalmometry, research of width of an eye crack, research of depth of pal'pebro-orbital fold, immunocitochemical, statistical. Apparatus - slit lamp, direct ophthalmoscope, Hertel exophthalmometer. Scientific information is complemented that nonspecific immunity activation has been occurred in patients with posttraumatic eye subatrophy. The eye ball evisceration with allocartilage implantation does not strengthen the immunity activation. Scientific information is complemented that the general and autogenously immunity oppressing in patients with uveal melanoma. Enucleation with allocartilage implantation does not result in autogenously immunity decreasing. The results are adopted at the State Institution "The Filatov Institute of eye diseases and tissue therapy of AMS of Ukraine". The sphere of application: medicine, ophthalmology.
