Gabriyelyan A. Complex correction of heart pump function in patients with chronic heart failure in a heart transplantation waiting list

The thesis assesses the effectiveness and safety of the complex heart function correction in patients with chronic heart failure and decreased left ventricle contractility in a heart transplantation waiting list with a continued 1-year prospective monitoring. Experimental study based on isoproterenol-inductive myocardial lesion model found the safety and effectiveness of cord blood stem cells use in the experiment for the correction of heart pump function. Complex treatment of ischemic cardiomyopathy complemented by stem cells effectiveness was identified, the decrease of the cardiovascular and general mortality by 10 % compared to the group with conservative treatment, by 18,9 and 18,6 % (p<0,05) compared to bypass surgery and stenting has been proved. As the result of the research, we developed treatment algorithm and selection criteria for patients with cardiomyopathy in the heart transplantation waiting list for complex correction of heart pump function.
