Essay

The questions of improvement of the results of surgical treatment of patients with morbid obesity on the basis of determination of indications for operation, perfection of gastric banding, early diagnostic, treatment and prevention of specific postoperative complications have been studied. This work consists of experimental and clinical parts. The influence of different synthetic materials have been studied, which can be used for making a cuff for gastric banding on the stomach wall. The advantages of dacron, silicon, ftorlavsan are proved. On the basis on the research made the optimal volume of proximal stomach reservoir and pouches of stoma. The classification of specific postoperative complications, methodic of their diagnostic, treatment and prevention.
