Gorlach A. Diagnostics and surgical treatment of cystic lesions of pancreas depending on their pathomorphologic features.

The dissertation is dedicated to challenging scientific problem - improvement of surgical treatment of of patients with cystic lesions of pancreas by means of accomplishing diagnostic techniques, individualization of extent of surgical procedure depending on pathomorphological features of pancreatic lesions. This study is based on results of examination, treatment and follow-up of 166 patients with pancreatic cystic lesions. In retrospective examination in 77 patients of control group specific morphological features of pseudocysts and cystic neoplasmas were detected. In prospective study diagnostic methods applied in control and basic group were compared. Informative techniques of diagnostics of different morphologic types of pancreatic cysts are defined. Diagnostic algorithm in cystic lesions of pancreas ids proposed. Improved treatment algorithm based on preoperative functional status of pancreas and malignant potency of cystic tumors prognoses development of compression complications and contributes in preserving of functional pancreatic parenchyma.
