Barabash Y. The style differentiation of the complex sentences with the time meaning

Object — complex, compound and asyndetic sentences with the time meaning — as the functional components of the modern Ukrainian literary language. Aim — to identify style and stylistic features and trends of instyle dynamics of the complex, compound and asyndetic sentences with the time meaning on the basis of formal-syntactic, structural-semantic and functional features. Methods — the method of linguistic description, the functional-comparing method and the method of the linguistic experiment. Novelty — style and stylistic functions of the structural-semantic varieties of the complex sentences with the time meaning as the textual components in fiction, journalistic, scientific and official business styles. Results – observations and conclusions presented in the research add the theory of three types of sentences with the time meaning: broaden the idea of their syntactic and stylistic nature, functions and frequency of their usage in the styles of the Ukrainian literary language; define the dynamics of style belonging of the conjunctions of compound and complex sentences; present new data about the frequency of compound and asyndetic sentences with the time meaning in the functional styles of the modern Ukrainian language.
