Dissertation deals with the study of cognitive functions of patients with the cirrhosis of liver, complicated by bleeding from the varicose extended veins of gullet and stomach and the increase of efficiency of complex diagnostically - treatment algorithm of this group of patients. Introduced diagnostically-medical algorithm, which allows after endoscopic determination of the source of bleeding and the degree of the loss of blood, to pass to manipulation treatment - i.e. endoscop or endovascular embolization of the stop of bleeding on a background base of therapy, the basis of which is Octrestatin and Gephadiph, which in combination with other medical measures and correction of microbiocenosis of colon, results in diminishing of the degree of hepatic encephalophacy in 25% in patients with liver cirrhosis.
