The subjekt of inquiry is the literary fairy tales of writers of Ukrainian modernism. The aim is to provide a myth-poetical analysis of the literary fairy tales period dated by XIX - beginning XX c. The research methods are historical-genetic, comparative-typological, mythological, archetypic. The results and novelty: a complex research of the peculiarities in myth provision to the Early Modernism period; author's role in literary history has been carried out.
