The dissertation study - social space of the big city. The aim of the dissertation research - conceptualization of social space of the big city: Dynamics and specific processes of social mobility, create methodological bases and empirical results in the main trends of social mobility in stratification space. Research methods - consistency, comprehensiveness, be scientific, historical, comparative analysis, method of statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, method of deduction. Practical significance of results is to identify the specific study of the social mobility of social Sciences, that enables to carry out selection theory and deepen understanding of mobility as a social phenomenon, thereby expanding the scientific field of sociology. The scientific novelty of results is: for the first time through comparative analysis of processes of social mobility in stratification space of Lviv and Donetsk cities elucidate their status to portraits.
