Zhurman S. Crafts genesis in the economic system of the Left-Bank Ukraine in the XVII - XVIII centuries

The study contains a theoretical synthesis and a new solution of scientific problems, resulting in a theoretical and methodological basis of the tasks on the basis of civilizational paradigm. Thesis is devoted to the genesis of crafts in the economic system of Left Bank region of Ukraine in XVII - XVIII centuries. The author analyzed haw the features of handicraft production influence on the development of economic system. The historical background of crafts, the development of handicraft production are studied in the period of XVII - XVIII century, the attention is done on the transition from the subsistence economy to the commodity economic system, the number and professional characteristic of craftsmen, the forms of Masters associations - shops, the outside activity of craftsmen, the reasons of the value reduction of handicraft production in the economy of Left-Bank Ukraine. The author noted that the crafts had played very important role in the economic activity of the population of the region, characterized the overall level of the development of the region's economy affecting the social, political and cultural processes which occurred in the study period of the society. The paper notes the necessity of taking into account the experience of handicraft production that influenced on the evolutionary improvement of the peculiarities of the development of economic sphere of market relations in Ukraine.
