Thesis on awarding the Candidate Degree (Engineering) on speciality 05.22.07 - railway rolling stock and hauling operation, Volodymyr Dal East-Ukrainian National University, Lugansk, 2010. The thesis of increase of power efficiency of diesel locomotive due to the improvement of fuel economy by activating of operating environments and rational use of electrodynamic braking energy is dedicated. The method of increase of fuel economy is developed due to activating of fuel, which is provided the use of braking energy, influence of "conditional" energy of activating of the ozonized fuel is developed. Dependences of change of physical and chemical properties of fuel as a result of ozonization from the concentration of ozone which is added to the fuel, and shelf-life the ozonized fuel are got. The use of technology of fuel ozonization allows to reduce black smoke on 12-17 %, middleoperating expense of fuel on 1,6%
