Essay

Research object - processes and equipment of cross rolling and cross-wedge rolling. Research methods - mathematical and physical simulation, slip-line field method and numerical recurrent solution of finite-difference form of divided elementary sections method, probability theory methods and mathematical statistics methods, experiments in laboratory conditions. Theoretical and practical results - mathematical models for deflected mode and energy-power indexes calculation of cross rolling and cross-wedge rolling, technology and equipment perfection advices, engineered mills design of cross rolling and cross-wedge rolling. Novelty - regularities of metal plastic movement within deformation area taking into account operational instrument geometry and friction conditions have been defined more exactly, strained state coefficient regression within deformation area while cross-wedge rolling of conical surfaces has been obtained. Implementation degree - advices and mills design of cross rolling and cross-wedge rolling transferred to mastering and industrial development (a certificate of employment). Scope of use - industrial enterprises of small and medium-sized businesses, unit engineering and metallurgical enterprises, industrial research institutes.
