General features of the problems of the legal protection of inventions office in Ukraine. The paper considers the historical and legal aspects of service inventions, the concepts, features and service conditions of patentability of inventions, described the legal status of the subjects of the invention to the office. The concept and the specific protection of exclusive rights to use the service invention, the order of acquisition of rights and the patenting of inventions officers, especially the transfer of rights to service inventions. The system of protection of owners' business inventions in Ukraine, also protection of the service invention in industrialized countries. The analysis of domestic and foreign legislation, judicial practice and legal literature in the work the conclusions formulated proposals for improving the current legislation on legal protection of inventions office in Ukraine.
