Essay

The dissertation focuses on the increased efficiency of treating inflammatory diseases of cervix of uterus against the background of papilloma viral infection on the basis of determining early diagnostic criteria of viral damaged exocervical epithelium when comparing colposcopic, cytomorphologic, immunocytohistochemical and electromicroscopic studies. Resulting from a retrospective analysis the pathology of cervix of uterus is established to account 12,8 % among in-patients with gynecologic deseases. While condacting integrated surveys of patients with inflammatory processes in the uterine cervix 60,0 % of the women were found to be human papilloma virus (HPV) infected with 11,7 % of them having low-risk HPV types (6, 11) and 88,3 % - high-risk types (16, 18). Herpes simplex type-2 (HSV-2) antigen was detected in 33,3 % of the patients and coincident HSV-2 and HPV infections were noted in 20,0 % of the women. Immunohistochemical assay showed various degrees of CIN-test manifestation to protein 16 expression: from 1 to 2 points in virus-positive women and up to 3 points in those ones with coincident HPV (16, 18 types) and HSV-2, which is indicative of increased risk of the uterine cervix epithelial cells neoplastic aberration. Complex therapy of papilloma virus infection associated with inflammatory processes of cervix of uterus was improved by employing antibacterial agents, immunomodulatory therapy and topical treatment with interferon range agent. The efficacy of the therapy was proved.
