The thesis deals with analysis of the functional state of the thiol-disulfide system after the indices of content and correlation of protein and non-protein -SH and -S-S- groups in the blood serum with experimental hyper- and hypothyroidism in rats, and in patients suffering from adenoma, high and low differentiated thyroidal cancer. It is established that disordered state of the blood serum thiol-disulfide system of these pathological processes is conditioned by a paradoxical ability of its components to function with radical change of contents and correlation of protein and non-protein -SH and -S-S- groups depending on the character of thyroidal status, morphological changes of thyreocytes and immunological properties of proteins. It is determined that after incubation of blood serum with L-thyroxin in vitro, impairment of content and correlation of protein and nonprotein -SH and -S-S- groups in donors was of the same type with that one which takes place in case of unspecific protein-protein damage in the model experiments in vitro, but in patients suffering from adenoma and thyroidal cancer, on the contrary, it was alike with that one which takes place in immune damage antigen-antibody in model experiments in vitro. The described disorders were more pronounces in patients suffering from thyroidal cancer. In this connection the indicated indices are expediently to determine as additional tests for estimation of character of L-thyroxin damage of proteins and to consider as risk factors of protein immunological properties change during malignant transformation of thyroidal cells.
