The thesis clarifies the notion of function as a kind and direction of special executive activity. The notion and content of state law enforcing function at the present stage are characterized from scientific point of view. The principles of state law enforcing function realization by Internal Affairs Bodies of Ukraine are defined. Theoretical and normative and law bases of Internal Affairs Bodies competences and authorities as state law enforcing activity subjects are established. The content of functions and tasks of Internal Affairs Bodies in state law enforcing function realization is specified. The forms and methods of state law enforcing function realization by Internal Affairs Bodies of Ukraine are scientifically determined.
