Dissertation is dedicated to theoretical and experimental study of the problem of student teenagers' cognitive interest in process of musical and cognitive activity using the multimedia technologies at the music lessons in general education school. It is specified in Dissertation the context and component structure of student teenagers' cognitive interest at the music lessons; are determined criteria, factors and level characteristics of formed the student teenagers' cognitive interest; grounded are pedagogical conditions providing efficiency and optimality of the studied phenomenon forming; clarified the essence of notion "multimedia technologies", characterized the multimedia technologies and determined particular features of their application at the music lessons with purpose to form cognitive interest of the 5-8th grades students of a general education school. Efficiency of teenagers' cognitive interest forming at the music lessons using the multimedia technologies was grounded theoretically and verified experimentally; the model of music lesson using multimedia technologies has been developed.
