Essay

The thesis deals with the urgent scientific-applied problem to improve methods and means of protection and maintenance of shaft linking at deep levels with the aim of ensuring their stable operation during the whole life cycle. Based of the state survey of 156 shaft linkings (more than 500 sections) in conditions of flat and inclined occurrence of seams the main causes of the damage of shaft lining and equipment were determined. Quantitative estimates of the state of linking by sections and types of lining versus a set of influencing factors including practically the whole of geo-mechanical, geological and mining conditions of protection and maintenance of linking are obtained. Instrumental survey and visual observation were conducted in the areas of shaft linking in order to determine regularities of lining and rock mass deformation. As a result space and time parameters at which impact of shaft siding on the shaft is excluded in drivage, linkage and re-lining are determined. The outcomes of the investigations were scientific backgrounds for development of the structural log-frame of using methods and means for protection and maintenance of shaft linking at deep levels that consists in selection of linking location during planning, taking into account estimate of its state, and comparison with the allowable one. If calculated estimate exceeds the allowable one, measures for maintenance of linking stability shall be used.
