The complex learning of verbal Ukrainian speech of the city, based on the integration of the methods of sociolinguistic and dialectological researches on the material of verbal recorded texts, was considered in the dissertation. The interference of extralinguistic and intralinguistic factors that have an influence on Ukrainian language in Luhansk city in the conditions of bilingual situation in the East of Ukraine was found out. The phenomenon of interference influence in the condition of Ukrainian-Russian and Russian-Ukrainian bilingualism was analysed. The interaction between city speech and territorial neighbouring Ukrainian dialects, and Ukrainian literary language, and Russian language system on the different language levels were found out. The features (phonetical, morphological, lexical) that are typical for speech of residents of Luhansk city and sporadical peculiarities were observed. The approaches of making of the methods of city speech analysis were developed.
