Essay

The work is devoted to research of features introduction of conditions in vitro, explants of C. vitalba (= Old Man's Beard, Traveller's Joy, Grape clematis ), its processes of callus induction and accumulation of triterpene glycosides in the callus culture. The dependence of accumulation of triterpene saponins in the calluses on the composition of culture media, physical properties of cultivation and cytological characteristics of cell populations was shown. Developed by the biotechnology scheme induction and selection of callus cultures of C. vitalba, allowing to obtain strains containing glycosides at the level of their concentration in intact plants were was shown.
