Basyuk O. Features of self-concept of adolescents high in neuroticism.

The thesis contains the results of theoretical and empirical research of the features of self-concept of the adolescents high in neuroticism. Offered the theoretical model of functioning of self-image with a peripheral part on the verge of relation "I - meaningful other". Outlined the contents of concept "peripheral part of self-image", that is the display of self-concept of a person on a contact edge with a social environment. Accomplished the experimental research of stability of the peripheral part of self-image in adolescence, depending on estimations of meaningful others. Determined that the feature of self-concept of adolescents high in neuroticism is that their self-image destabilized when falls into meanenfull relationships with "supportive" person. Specified the mechanism of neurotization development through the discovered features of self-concept of the adolescent boys and girls and highlighted the main types of persons studied from the point of view of relationship between the level of neuroticism and the peculiarities of stability of self-image in the peripheral part. Developed and approved the methodology-theoretical principles of psycho-correction work with adolescent boys and girls high in neuroticism. As well as the recommendations are suggested, the use of which will assist in establishing an adequate psychological interaction between the psychologist and psycho-correction group.
