Object - inflammation of the biliary duct, purpose – improvement the cholangitis treatment by means of mending diagnostics, surgical management of biliary hypertension and its complex treatment; methods - clinical, laboratory, instrumental (ultrasonography, radiological, endoscopic, manometry), bacteriological, morphological, statistical, results - developed instrument for measuring pressure in the abdominal organs to determine the level of biliary hypertension in patients with cholangitis, to assess the effectiveness of surgical correction of biliary hypertension in patients with cholangitis was first treated with the method used transpupillary and with draining cholangiomanometry using the developed device, developed criteria for prediction of reversibility of pathological changes in the wall of common biliary duct in patients with cholangitis; proposed a gradient of intraductal and intraduodenal pressures to assess the effectiveness of surgical correction of biliary hypertension, developed an algorithm for surgical treatment of cholangitis at a rate of reversibility of pathological changes in the wall of extrahepatic biliary duct; branch – medicine.
