The object - is I. Aksakov's poetic, critical, literary and epistolary heritage; the purpose is to present an objective and complete picture of Aksakov's poetic and literary-critical activity involving the analysis of the writer's epistolary heritage; methods - descriptive, comparative-historical, historical, functional, social, genetic and systematic; the novelty is to present the complete analysis of Aksakov's literary works for the first time. Complex and deep analysis of Aksakov's literary work "Brodyaga" (A Tramp) is conducted. Literary and critical articles about Gogol and Turgenev have become the object of special attention for the first time. Aksakov's role as the first biographer of Tyutchev is defined at a new and deeper level.
