Essay

The dissertation analyzes the botanical lexis of the Chornobyl dialects which are an important part of the Central Polissia dialects' language image. It is the first research that applies reconstruction methodology for the data gathered in the new compact living places of the former Chornobyl zone inhabitants.The mapping of the lexical units relevant for the area under study allowed for creating the model of locative behaviour of the botanical lexis projected against the motherland area that also made it possible to define three dialect microzones.
