Object – lexical and phraseological units in the Ukrainian language – verbalizators of the concept “memory” in national world linguistic image; the aim is to define peculiarities of concept “memory” verbalization as a structurally and meaningfully complex multivariable mental construct in the Ukrainian linguistic culture; methods are descriptive method, elements of component analysis, historically-etymological analysis, distributive analysis in combination with context interpretative; novelty – a complex research has been done of one of the culturally important for Ukrainian lingual community the concept “memory” for the first time, conceptual apparatus is improved, term “culturally important concept” is defined, a group of “mental concepts” are distinguished; results – type and the place of the concept “memory” are defined in the Ukrainian concept sphere; nominative techniques of the investigated concept in the Ukrainian language are characterized; content of conceptual component of the concept “memory” and means of its verbalization are defined; means of its verbalization of valuable component are determined by means of nominative space, LSS and PSS of the concept “memory” and synonyms and antonyms; basic metaphorical models of the concept “memory” are defined as verbalizators of its figurative component; branch – cognitive linguistics, lingvo conceptology, ethnolinguistics, stylistics.
