The thesis is the first linguistic research of the New Latin poem on the territory of Ukraine in the end of the XVI - beginning of the XVII centuries (based on the Latin historical poem of Simon Pecalides "De bello Ostrogiano" (1600), where the main attention is paid to the linguistic characteristics of Latin poetic text as a special form of communication with its own linguistic rules and norms as well as the language changes that appear as a result of the close long-term interaction of several language cultures.
