The preconditions of meadow-steppe landscapes of Western Podolia - tectonics and geological, geomorphological, hydrological, historical and human. Illustrated changes in meadow and steppe landscape in historical time under the influence of human activities. Discovered dynamic areas of meadow and steppe landscape over the past centuries and compiled the relevant maps. The method of key areas studied modern structure of some meadow-steppe landscapes and compiled their maps. The actual state of meadow-steppe landscape, the direction of their development, grounded main ways of rational use and protection.
