Postindustrial economy and postindustrial society as a condition and result of the formation, operation and development of innovative economy is the object of study. The aim of the thesis is to study the internal organization of innovation incentives in postindustrial society in their symbiotic relationship with the institutional changes of the new postindustrial system. The following modern approaches to the analysis of complex economic systems were used in the formation of research methods: civilization, formational, technological, institutional etc. The scientific novelty of the research involves finding characteristics of innovation processes specifically in the postindustrial stage of civilization development, namely, their systemic nature and interdependence with modifications in the institutional environment of postindustrial society and the system of socio-economic relations of this type of society. Conclusions and recommendations of the thesis have theoretical and practical significance: the recommendations made can be the basis for determining the principles, objectives and instruments of government economic policy that is based on the task of building an innovative economy. The practical value of research results is confirmed by the reference of implementation in practice use in such national organizations: the National Institute of Strategic Studies, the Research Institute of Economic Development of SHEE "Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University", the Research Economic Institute of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, SHEE "Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University" in the development of structures and strategies of formation an innovative model of economic development of Ukraine, as well as the preparation of lectures and seminars on this topic.
