Dyagilyeva Z. Lexical and Phraseological Means of Verbalization of concept FREUNDSCHAFT / FRIENDSHIP in the German Language

This thesis focuses on the study of lexical and phraseological units of the German language that verbalize the concept FREUNDSCHAFT / FRIENDSHIP. Within the framework of cultural studies the most essential attributes of the concept have been singled out; its structure and contents, comprising etymology, semantic components, word-forming potential, paradigmatic and syntagmatic connections of the lexemes with the meaning Freundschaft, have been revealed. The lexemes in question have testified to generic connection of friendly relationships with love and family at a semantic level, as well as to the value and the normative ideal of friendship in the German language consciousness. The phraseological units under consideration verbally construct the image of false friendship. In German fiction the concept FREUNDSCHAFT / FRIENDSHIP is presented by the verbal images created through text associations.
