Object of research - transformational processes of the sugar-beet subcomplex of Ukraine in conditions of a market economic system. The purpose of the study - the development of theoretical and methodological foundations and applications to improve organizational and economic mechanism of development of sugar production in terms of economic transformation. Research Methods - systematic approach, analysis and synthesis; dialectical method of expert evaluations, methods of computer processing and analysis. Theoretical and practical results - assesses the current state and development of beet and sugar in Ukraine. Research the necessity of combination market and public sector management instruments. Improved theoretical and methodological approaches to investment and innovation development of the sugar industry. Formed Strategy of development of sugar production and proposed measures to ensure the competitiveness of the industry. Novelty - in theoretical and methodological justification provisions and practical recommendations for effective organizational and economic mechanism of development of the sugar-beet subcomplex of Ukraine. Introduced - Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Ukraine, National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine, sugar factories in the learning process of the National University of Food Technologies.
