Shust L. Entomological Lexics of the Western Polissyan Dialects

The dissertation presents the systematized description of the entomonims, fixed in the Western Polissyan dialects, determined the definite lexico-sementical groups, outlined the motivated relations and the etymology of the nomens, analyzed the lexical parallels in the other Slavonic languages. On the base of the principals' analyses of the entomological lexics, it is determined 12 motivational groups and some subgroups, it is identified, which lexemes have the left or right motivations, it is demonstrated that the ancient ones have the shadowed etymology and the new ones have clear motivation. The lingua geographical analyses of the definite material is studied on which base the ranges of the Western Polissyan dialects, the inner division and the definite microzones are outlined.
