The dissertation is devoted to organizational and legal bases of diplomatic representatives of Ukraine abroad in the mechanism of foreign affairs management. The historical-legal development of system of foreign affairs management bodies, present day state of this system, its features and components, the legal basis of foreign affairs management are analysed. The place of diplomatic representatives of Ukraine abroad in the system of foreign affairs management bodies, its function and powers, forms and methods of management, organizational structure are developed. The organizational and legal problems of diplomatic representatives of Ukraine abroad activity are defined, ways of their solving taking into account domestic and foreign experience are offered. The necessity of acceptance of the Statute of Embassy of Ukraine, the Code of behaviour and Disciplinary statute of diplomatic service employees of Ukraine is proved, other concrete changes and additions to the legislation in the branch of foreign affairs are formulated.
