Paraczuk O. The Dynamics of Authority in the Ancient Ukrainian Literature (on the Material of the Rhetoric Prose of the 11th - beginning of the 17th century).

The thesis investigated the role of changing the authority in generation of the own tradition in Ukrainian literature in the context of actual process of the identity formation. The dynamics of authority, the authority of Scripture in the Middle Ages on the authority of the author in the Renaissance, traced by the material of orator and preaching prose of XI - the beginning of the XVII century. The paper identifies a number of genre and stylistic devices, which show that momentum and define the author as a spokesman for the national culture and literature.This is particularly significant in the period of settling tradition, when Rus culture was attended by the Greco-Byzantine and Western European contexts.
