The dissertation investigates the theoretical and methodological and practical problems of administrative and legal status of the prosecution in Ukraine. In the dissertation the six historical periods of development of the institute of legal prosecution of Ukraine are established, the mechanism of state prosecutors is determined, the essence and structure of its administrative and legal status is specified.
