Essay

Theoretical and methodological substantiation of the differentiation of coastal territories and water area of Ukraine is given. Singled out off-shore territories and aquatories of Ukraine are considered as the off-shore - marine geosystem embracing orohydrographic systems of the land, system of the shelf with paleoriver valleys, systems of the continental slope and its canyons with cones of the final accumulation of the flood of solid matter. Coastal marine geosystem is an open system with the interchange of the substance and energy with the environment.
