Stepanova N. Psychological characteristics of patients with hypertension and coronary heart disease and their psychological correction

The thesis is theoretically grounded and made a new decision of the actual scientific problem - improving health and quality of life of patients with hypertension and coronary heart disease through the development of correction measures on the basis of analysis and comprehensive evaluation of psychological features of the above-mentioned categories of patients. Mental and emotional, individual-psychological and psychosocial risk factors that influence the development and course of hypertension and coronary heart disease are separated, their content and relationship are identified. General and specific medical and psychological factors of their formation are defined and differentiated according to their somatic nozoform. The analysis of the components of quality of life and adherence to therapy as the main target-markers of efficiency of psychocorrection effects on patients with hypertension and coronary heart disease were made. The algorithm of medical and psychological assistance to this category of patients at different stages of therapy varied depending on the inpatient or outpatient treatment stages is developed. The inclusion of correction measures to the medical complex made significant positive impact on the course of this pathology, formed an adequate treatment of the patients to the disease, increased the efficiency of treatment of basic disease and improved of the patients' psychological state. The positive clinical effect in patients with hypertension and coronary heart disease was accompanied by increased adherence to therapy and improved quality of life.
