Essay

New methods for rock bolt tests and two level combine systems have been developed to maintain a roadway stability due to longwall mining. Linear dependence of plastic energy from plastic deformation of bolt washer and logarithm dependence of this energy from distance to longwall face have been found. Rock bolt bearing capacity was determined as a fuction of plastic deformation of bolt washer. Asymmetrical behavior of entry has been understood for an entry that is maintained behind the longwall that has been directly ventilated. Law of plastic energy evolution was clarified and optimal range for washer rigidity were found. Bolt washer dissipates maximum ground pressure energy in this range.
