The thesis is devoted to the improvement of the results the surgical treatment the acute varicotrombophlebitis among declining and aged people, and particularly, to the decrease of tromboetic and postoperative complications amount by optimizing the choice of diagnostic as well as developing methods of surgical treatment. There were 244 checked-up declining (60-74 years old) and aged (75-89 years old) patients with the acute varicotrombophlebitis in progress, 240 of them operated. The peculiarities of the acute varicotrombophlebitis currency of the mentioned patients which influenced the choice of tactics and revealed the evidence to the surgical treatment were studied. The surgical prophylaxis of the veins tromboetic complications and the prevention of the postoperative complications after surgical wound as the methods of surgical treatment the acute varicotrombophlebitis were worked out. Due to the developed ways of the surgical treatment the acute varicotrombophlebitis among declining and aged people, both the immediate and prolonged results of treatment were improved on: the frequency of veins tromboemboly complications was diminished up to 0, 82 % in comparison with 7,38 %, the postoperative complications from 11,44 % to 3,28 %, the amount of posttromboetic complications during the prolonged period from 5,88 % to 0,96%
