Vorobyov A. Role of biological cardiac markers in prognostication of left ventricular remodeling in patients having Q-wave myocardial infarction

The study object is left ventricular structure and function disorder in patients having Q-wave myocardial infarction. The study aim is efficiency enhancement of prognostication and prevention of left ventricular remodeling development in patients having Q-wave myocardial infarction. The study methods are clinical, biochemical, instrumental, statistical. The novelty: association of postinfarction left ventricular remodeling development and serum levels of the marker of myocardial stress and the marker of extracellular matrix remodeling in this category of patients is established; possibility to reduce the risk of left ventricular remodeling development in postinfarction patients using reperfusion therapy in the acute phase of myocardial infarction and administering high-dose atorvastatin and aldosterone receptor blockers is demonstrated. The observed data were introduced into practice of Donetsk municipal clinical hospitals № 1 and № 20, Institute of urgent and restorative surgery named by V.K. Gusak of the National Academy of medical science of Ukraine (Donetsk), Ukrainsk municipal hospital № 1, Slavyansk "diagnostic and therapeutic center", Ghorlovka municipal hospital № 1, and also into the educational process of Donetsk national medical university named by M. Gorkiy.
