Nikolaiev E. Theory of information economy: essence and key contradictions

The dissertation contains the results of research of the theory of information economy as a concept that studies the peculiarities of information economic system. The aim of the research is to evaluate the contradictions within the key principles and statements of the theory of information economy.Its object is information economy. The research uses the dialectical methods of analysis and synthesis, scientific abstraction, comparative economic systems, neoinstitutional interpretation of economic processes. The results of the research were implemented by International Charitable Fund "Ukraine 3000", "Ukrainian Mark" Analytical Agency, Party of Regiions Headquarters. The recommendations of the thesis can be used by governmental bodies in determining the measures for transit towards information society, improving the legislation in the spheres of technological production, intellectual property, and copyright.
