Shevchenko O. The legal and organizational arrangements regulating archives affairs in Ukraine

The thesis is the comprehensive study of administrative and legal regulation of archives in Ukraine. According to the purpose, the comprehensive analysis of the development of archives and organizational factors regulating this sphere of knowledge has made. Directions of state policy, concerning institutional and legal arrangement of archives are characterized. The formation and development of archives affairs in Ukraine, current legal base concerning the organization of archiving has presented and analyzed. Author put forward the proposal of the classification of subjects of jural relation in archiving, authorities determined archivists, their functions and legal status. It is elaborated suggestions to improve the organization and management of archival affairs, and strengthening the legal responsibility for violations in the field of archives. There were made suggestions to clarify and supplemented the legislation in force of Ukraine in the field of archives. On the basis of works of Ukrainian and foreign jurists and practitioners in the field of archives and supplemented by more precise definition.
