Essay

The thesis extends theoretical basis, methodic, scientific and practical recommendations on form-ing the management model of economic firmness of sugar industry. The main points of the categories of economic firmness management, economic firmness of an en-terprise, firmness of a system, elements of economic firmness have been developed in the thesis. Pe-culiarities of economic firmness have been found out and factors influencing its level have been sys-tematized. A multilevel and multicomponent system of management of economic firmness of sugar industry development has been developed and the directions of long-term strategy of the development depending on the level of their economic firmness (methods of complex estimation of economic firm-ness level in processing enterprises) have been improved. Modern condition of sugar market and sugar products have been analyzed. The system of monitor-ing the sugar plants economic firmness on the basis of estimating their basic elements was developed. Estimation of processing enterprises economic firmness level was done. Problems and priority tasks of sugar beet subcomplex were pointed out. Directions of forming firm raw materials zones of sugar plants through concentration level increase and through specialization of sugar beet production in favorable for sugar beet growing areas and optimi-zation of the sown areas close to sugar beets were grounded. The mechanism of stimulating the increase of sugar beet delivery to a plant by giving a bonus to agricultural enterprise workers was developed. The main directions of diversification of the branch processing enterprises activity through extension of their activity directions and the goods range, particularly at the expense of the further processing of sugar into new kinds of sugar as well as through diversification of the by-products have been suggested. The necessity of establishing a sugar industry information portal aiming at storage, processing and access to the information on the region sugar branch that would allow the subjects of the sugar beet subcomplex to take efficient managerial decisions.
