Dissertation is devoted to research of modern problems of administrative-law activity of duty service of Internal Affairs bodies. The stages of becoming and development of duty service are analysed. A concept "Duty service" is formulated. The features of the legal adjusting of activity of duty service are considered. System of basic tasks, functions and principles of activity of duty service of internal affairs bodies is exposed. Basic directions of improvement administrative-law activity of duty service of internal affairs bodies and her subsequent development are offered.
