Essay

Basic kinds of photographic techniques used in graphic design. Black and white photography and photomontage as a part of it. On the basis of analysis of documental materials and visual research and their generalization also, basic kinds of photographic techniques used in graphic design are reflected in this work. The dissertation contains research of constructivist period in Ukrainian graphic design history of 1920-1930th. Editions, which contain photographic images as graphic design, were analyzed. The role of photography in graphic design of multipage editions were defined.
