The dissertation is dedicated to the investigation of psychological conditions of development of gender competence of heads of secondary educational institutions. The work analyzes main theoretical foundations of the investigation of problems relevant to gender and individuals' gender competence in psychological science. The author considers the contents and components of gender competence of heads of secondary educational institutions as well as the levels and factors of their gender competence. The writer has determined the psychological conditions of development of gender competence of school principals as well as successfully tested a training course to develop gender competence of heads of secondary educational institutions which proves its high efficiency in the system of post-graduate pedagogical training.
