Stryzhakovs"ka O. Folk appellations in Bukovinian dialects.

The dissertation has studied the names of human diseases spread in Bukovinian dialects. A systemic organization of the vocabulary under study has been established. The Bukovinian names of diseases have been analyzed as components of system-creative complex units of different levels of generalizations - of a lexicosemantical paradigm, a lexicosemantical group which are in relations of a consecutive inclusion. The semantic specific characteristics have been determined for every nomination revealed, an etymon has been ascertained, an intrinsic form or word from which it is derived.The presence of Bukovinian names of diseases in closely related dialects and literary language, their fixation in general linguistic and specialized dictionaries have been elucidated, lexical parallels in other Slavonic languages have been disclosed. The basic methods and means of nominating diseases in Bukovinian dialects have been characterized - the affixation word-formation, borrowings from other languages, semantic derivation, word-composition, compound nominations.
