Marochina O. Formation of Roztochchya surname system.

The dissertation is devoted to the analysis of ways of person identification in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, lexical basis and structural word-building peculiarities of Roztochchya District surnames.The introductory part includes the actuality of the theme, the object and sources of the dissertation, the definition of the aim, tasks, methods and methodological foundations of the analysis, theoretical and practical significance of the work.In the first theoretical chapter the achievements of the Ukrainian antroponymy and the most important onomastic problems have been characterized. The second chapter deals with the analysis of appellative and onym lexis, represented in the bases of Roztochchуa surnames. Slavonic and christian names and semantics of appellatives are described in this aspect, that enables to make the picture of repertoire of the names and different classes of vocabulary which testifies to nativeness of Ukrainians on this earth, their deep culture.
